Skin Care Products for your Skin

The first thing that they will want to know is what kind of skin you have. Some individuals have skin that produces a higher level of oil. Others have skin that is much drier. A third skin type is known as combination skin. It may have areas that produce more oil and other areas that are more prone to dryness. The kind of products that are chosen will often depend on the kind of skin that a person has. Dry skin is usually flaky and may itch or turn red when the weather is cold. If a person uses products that strip the remaining oil from the skin and do not replace it they will often find that their skin is tight and may feel itchy or painful if the problem continues. The best products are those that do not strip oil from the skin and which contain more moisturizing ingredients than products that are designed for other skin types. Oily skin, on the other hand, has different needs. Excess oil can cause skin pores to become blocked. Blemishes are also more common on skin that is oily. The best products are those that are able to remove excess oil and unblock pores as gently as possible. If the skin becomes irritated it can actually cause more oil to be produced. Combination skin has areas that are dry and areas that are oily. Individuals may want to be careful about the kind of products that they use on their skin so that both extremes are cared for equally. The majority of skin care products will list what skin type they are designed for.
